BUDDY BIKE SUPPORTS CYCLING EVENTS IN OHIO   PDF

The Buddy Bike is a unique tandem bicycle that places the smaller rider in front. It is shorter in length than a regular tandem and the rear rider controls the steering. The Buddy Bike is enjoyable for parents and their children but its innovative design makes it especially beneficial for special needs children who otherwise would not be able to experience the thrill of riding a bicycle. In support and appreciation of their Ohio customers and the special needs community, Buddy Bike will participate in two Ohio bike riding events. All riders are welcome at these events. Buddy Bikes are not required. Buddy Bike encourages all riders to wear helmets.

Buddy Bike is a sponsor of the 50k/100k Ride for OASIS Autism which will be held in Wooster, Ohio. Bicyclists can participate in the ride for a $25 registration fee payable to the organization. The registration fee will benefit autism awareness and outreach. Non-riders can visit informational booths and participate in the other event activities. Buddy Bikes will be available for trial rides at their exhibition booth. The ride begins at: HealthPoint, 3727 Friendsville Road, Wooster, OH 44691 on Saturday, August 4, 2007. Check-in time is 7:30 a.m. The ride will begin at 8:00 a.m. For ride registration visit www.oasisautism.org.

Buddy Bike will participate in the monthly group ride organized by Dan Negley of Breakaway Cycling (www.breakawaycycling.com). The ride begins at: Northside Fellowship Church, 6841 Freeman Road, Westerville, OH 43082 (at the corner of Freeman Road and Route 3) on Sunday, August 5, 2007. The ride will start at 2:30 p.m. There are trail options for various rider levels with parks and an ice cream stop along the way. This is a free event.
