FAMILY 7 SPEED (BB102-AL-7.16C) SPORT 30 SPEED (BB104-AL-30.16) SPORT DELUXE (BB104-AL-NU.17)
General Description

Buddy Bike Family has a metallic orange frame and a Shimano 7 speed internal hub for pedal-free shifting and easy bike maintenance.

Cycling enthusiasts and adult riders over 5’8" prefer Buddy Bike Sport. Buddy Bike Sport has a Shimano Deore M525 30 speed gear system (some models may include a KT hub) providing a wide range of gear options, an aluminum frame, more rear rider leg room than Buddy Bike Family, disc brakes plus a stoker standard caliper brake for more braking power, and thin hybrid tires for a smooth ride with less rolling resistance.

Cycling enthusiasts and adult riders over 5’8" have made Buddy Bike Sport our most popular model. Buddy Bike Sport Deluxe includes the our Sport model features with the addition of the NuVinci Nfinity N380 CVP drivetrain that makes shifting gears pedal-free, smooth and easy on the knees and as simple as tuning a radio dial. There are no skipped gears or fear of losing a chain on this maintenance-free hub allowing parents to focus on enjoying the ride with their child.

Bling Pink models include NuVinci N360 hubs.

Who can ride this bike (rider height)?

As true bike measurements should include the rider's inseam and arm length, these measurements may vary. Please review all specs in order to determine the best bike model for you.

Captain/adult riders approx. 5'3" to 5'8"

Adult riders/Captains under 5'5" will find Buddy Bike Family to be most comfortable due to the lower rear rider seat and lower top tubes for easier bike mounting. The Buddy Bike may not be suitable for Captains under 5'3". Trial rides are suggested.

Captain/adult riders approx. 5'4" to 6'4"

Riders over 5'8" may find Buddy Bike Sport models to be most comfortable as they have more rear rider leg room than our Family models.

Captain/adult riders approx. 5'4" to 6'4"

Riders over 5'8" may find Buddy Bike Sport models to be most comfortable as they have more rear rider leg room than our Family models.

Where can I ride this bike?

With 7 internal gears this bike is best for flat or minimally hilly areas. Tires are wide enough for stability and have some tread for gripping on a variety of surfaces but not too much tread for less rolling resistance.

Wide range of gears (30) make this a good bike for hilly areas. Thinner, slicker tires with puncture resistant tubes are best on paved surfaces but can handle some other surfaces.

The NuVinci Nfinity N380 CVP drivetrain is comparable to a 9 speed hub making this bike best for flat or areas with some hills. Thinner, slicker tires with puncture resistant tubes are best on paved surfaces but can handle some other surfaces.
